In Gudjal, the verb ending -(y)ngga is used to talk about things that aren't certain. We use it to say something "could", "might", "can", "may" or even "will" happen. Even though saying something "will" happen sounds certain, we can't be sure, because it hasn't happened yet!

The -yngga suffix becomes -ngga when it follows a verb ending in 'i'. Nothing changes about the meaning. It is just spelt differently.
